Welcome

Paul says we Christians are running a race. Here's what I'm looking at on my run toward Christ.

Forever

Today was another great church service spent worshipping God Almighty.  As always during Lent I want to share with you my favorite musical worship moment from today.  Today we sang "Forever" by Kari Jobe.  I want to point out a few lyrics that I absolutely love.

"When the perishable has been clothed with imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory.'

'Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?'

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God!  He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."  1 Corinthians 15:54-57

"The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon him
One final breath He gave
As Heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken
The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated
Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive
He is alive..."
Excepts of "Forever" by Orlando Johnson.

Christ has conquered sin and death and He did it at the cross!  Worship with me the God who is to be forever glorified today.
